Co-incidence?
today i was reading 'samurai deeper kyo'. the manga, of course. it was the battle between keikoku and yuan. keikoku was being thrashed around, until he changed his style to slightly gain an advantage. he got thrashed around again after that though, until the end.
Follow up:
so the thing was he copied the styles of the people he had fought and seen before, so as to confuse his opponent about the rhythm of his attacks. in case you don't know, in all the fightings in this kind of stories, everybody has their own rhythms when they fight, which if could be seen through, could be used to the enemy's advantage.
and then i thought, actually i saw that before. the same thing happened in 'history's strongest disciple kenichi'. kenichi did the same thing too. my first impression was, the one from kenichi copied the story from samurai deeper kyo. because sdk started first.
after thinking a bit more, i realized that it might just be a co-incidence. if we look at the time when these 2 scenes are published, they are really not that far away from each other, since for kenichi it appeared in the earlier part, and for sdk it appeared in the later part of the story.
as a writer, i know that planning the story takes time. usually scenes are confirmed and fixed long before they are put in hardcopy form. so i thought, maybe it is just co-incidence. for a moment i thought it might even be sdk who copied kenichi.
well i did not check the dates of their published works. too lazy. so what do i want to say? actually nothing. i got nothing to do and decided to post something here. that's all.
