Kitade Nana

since i have not blogged about anything for a long time, i guess i shall waste a tiny part of my life here again. the exams are coming, and i am totally not prepared. or rather, i am fully prepared to die? not really either. what am i doing here? i don't know.

Follow up:

so today, i will talk a little about one of my favorite singers.

well according to my favorites list, in order, they are:

1. mizuki nana
2. horie yui
3. kitade nana
4. otsuka ai / yui

why am i talking about kitade nana now instead of horie yui? well i have no idea. i just felt like it.

the first time i was introduced to kitade nana's song was when she sang the fullmetal alchemist ending theme 消せない罪 (kesenai tsumi). well at that time i was still not into her songs yet until she sang the ending for d.gray-man アントワネットブルー (antoinette blue). well that was the one song that pulled me in to the rest of her songs.

subsequently i listened to all her albums and her singles and found out that i really like some of her songs. unlike mizuki nana's songs, her songs usually only requires 1 listen to be able to catch it, pretty much like horie yui's.

but unlike horie yui who sings light-hearted songs or mizuki nana who sings... well what kind of songs does she sing? oh well mizuki nana sings a lot of different kinds of songs, but kitade nana usually sings songs of a darker theme. at least, those songs that i listened.

among all the songs i listened to, kitade nana is the 2nd jrock artist i listened to, the first being janna da arc. the thing is even for a jpop fan like me who don't really like jrock (and i absolutely don't listen to metal or hard metal), her songs kind of attract me.

as for her voice, i guess you can say she has her own feminine style. not as deep as the female singer in m.o.v.e, not as cute as horie yui, not as powerful as mizuki nana, but that doesn't mean she is a lousy singer. her voice is in a way, cute and feminine in her own way. hmm you can say, like that of a teenager? yeapx... and it suits her too, since she portrays herself as someone of that age.

hahax you know, she is as old as me... and while i am struggling to pass my exams, she is enjoying big success. a bit envious huh... but she did work hard... and she deserves her successes. hahax well she debuted at 16, same as britney spears. while she stepped into the working world at that age, i guess most of us were still immature brats trying to act cool in school. aww... you do know right? that the world of the celebrities is a bit harsh...

as of today, her latest single is 月華-tsukihana, and her latest album is 'bondage'. a bit lazy to get her latest single and album (hahahx since i put her songs at 3rd priority + my not so well-managed schedule made me waste a lot of time). no offence to kitade nana fans though, but i just prefer mizuki nana and horie yui more. of course, i still like her. if not i wouldn't even talk about her in my blog.

once my exams end in late may i will go get it...her latest album and single. for more photos of kitade nana, go to my picture gallery, which you can link to from this website. simply go to the top of the page, where you will see a square with the word 'links'. click it and follow from there. if you still cannot find it, leave a comment here.

and for the sake of... of respecting other people's name... call them by their proper names... her name is kitade nana. don't go calling her nana kitade. same for horie yui, she is not yui horie. mizuki nana is not nana mizuki either. it is a habit of others which i cannot stand. can you imagine calling me leads pencil?

note: horie yui (the seiyuu) and YUI (the guitarist) are 2 different people. don't mix them up. no, i am not shouting. YUI is indeed spelled in block letters. for the benefit of those who don't know japanese, seiyuu are known in western countries as voice actors/actresses.
