how long, has it been that i made a post here? hahax.

Follow up:

it took me a really long time to notice this, but i realized that, contrary to popular beliefs, adults actually like fairytales more than children.

children like fairytales, and adults like them even more. perhaps the version of fairytales adults have in mind, in essence is as simple as the prince charming saving the princess, or the 2 lovers go through all the difficult times together and live together happily ever after. just that the process involves much more complex matters (and tragedies) for the adult version.

look at the manga, the light novels, the stories, they are something like a fairytale. adults i realized, hope for a fairytale-like life more than a child, yet at the same time desperately denying its possibility.

then we came into another conclusion. a fairytale-like life in our world is like perfection, a goal every single human strives towards to, yet at the same time knowing that it is an impossible dream. yet it doesn't stop the supposedly more mature adults into wanting to jump into that world. or rather, because adults become more mature, that's why we wish for that world even more, because we know that we could never have that reality we know of in fairytales.

just like sometimes, i would say, 'let me be stupid, for a while.'

everyone works hard, and dreams hard. so that we can make our life nearer to the perfect fairytale we came up with in our own minds.

and maybe, you too, would want to be stupid for a while. just, make sure, your stupidity don't cost you too much. because in reality, we all know there is a price to pay for being stupid. make sure that you, like me, already calculated the cost of stupidity and know you can afford to pay, before jumping into the hole you dig for yourself.
