Japanese Cultural Festival

so i was in the middle of a project meeting when my friend sent a message to me saying there was a japanese cultural festival at the other end of the school. so after i was done i walked right to the other end of my school and had a look.

as the club was small the scale was not big either. there were booths selling japanese snacks, booths about traditional japanese games, the otaku corner and some others. it was a pity i did not get the chance to see a kimono or yukata displayed there though.

at the otaku corner i saw some artists drawing and selling their artworks. although not as good as those who drew on the spot at those kind of anime conventions, i have to say they really did have some skill and it made me realized that i still have a long way to go.

well... so that's about it.

oh ya, i saw a girl cosplaying. well she was around 20. anyway she was cosplaying tohsaka rin, and i thought, she was a little too tanned, and rin did not tie a ponytail. instead she tied it on both sides. aww. it would be better if she was more fair and had 2 ponytails. haha. but then again, there are few people who could cosplay as good as people like kipi.

i noticed a lot of singaporeans like to cosplay as tohsaka rin in the game/anime, in her home clothes too. probably because rin has black hair, and her home clothes only involved a simple top, a skirt, socks to the knees and black shoes. nobody cosplayed as castor, rider, sakura, illya (oh man imagine illya-chan!), taiga! hahahahahahaa. actually, i really like ayako too. ayako is one of my favorites.
