Sacrifice

i was talking to a friend today, and the topic went to getting what we wanted. here is a list which i came out on my own.

Follow up:

the ideal case: sacrificing nothing to get what we want. everybody wants that but it is almost impossible.

the best possible case: sacrificing little to get what we want. probably it is more practical to aim for this.

the normal case: law of equivalent exchange. sacrifice something to get another. more of 1 to 1 exchange.

the not really normal case: sacrifice something to get only a little of what you want. shit happens. we all know it.

the sad case: sacrificing whatever you have and still not get a single thing. well we know life sometimes do make fun of us.

the gone case: sacrificing something and end up in a worse state than before, excluding the things which you gave up. well... what can i say?

so my friend and i were talking about that. and i just told her i am stuck at the last one. well you know, relationships. when they fail, they usually sink you to a state where you cannot get up for quite some time.

anyway for those who belong to somewhere along the sad case to the gone case, all i can say is that probably nearly everyone of us goes through that at one point of time and another. still, it doesn't mean life is over. we are still living, no matter how painful it is.

and if we treat life like a game, then we will realize that any game which is too easy to complete isn't fun at all. a game is only fun, and interesting, when it is hard to beat. the same for life. although seriously, this pathetic of a self-consolation is really nothing. i would rather get what i want, anytime.

well, life is made up of various experiences. to go through the ups and sink to the bottom, then we can learn, and enjoy truly the top, to understand those who are at the bottom and to reach out to those who cannot get up. even though, sometimes we have to get up by ourselves.

funny enough, for humans, we are sometimes stupid creatures who would do the same thing and make the same sacrifices all over again, knowing we would end up in the gone case situation. at least i know i am like that.
