エリサ (ELISA)

エリサ, also known as elisa, is a japanese singer and model. though she looks like she is not a pure japanese, other sources which i have looked into assured me that she is a 100% japanese. in any case, that doesn't matter when it comes to her talent and her songs. what made me notice her was her activity as a singer rather than a model though. born in 1989 (meaning she is 21 at this point in time), she has already released 7 singles and 2 albums.

before that, please note that elisa is pronounced as air-lee-ser, and not ee-lai-zer or ee-lee-sah. many people seemed to not able to say this word out properly.

well, i guess like mizuki nana, even though she does not only sing anime songs, she is certainly known for her anisongs. one particular anisong that i actually like a lot and listened to it nearly everyday is 光(hikari), theme song of 隠の王 (nabari no ou). unlike nana-chan who has a deep and powerful voice, elisa actually has a voice that can go very high. at least thats the way i feel when i listened to 凛々と (rinrin to). and this was the song which made me drawn to her when i first listened to elisa.

her song varies, from the happy to the sad, from the fast to the slow, and quite a few of them really attracts me to it. and actually got me addicted. but as things go, i don't really mind being addicted to new songs every now and then (i admit the songs are not really that new), since it would get kinda bored to listen to that few songs in my playlist everyday. granted, she is not famous like hamasaki ayumi or mizuki nana, otsuka ai or horie yui, but it doens't mean that she is not worth listening to. in fact, i am hoping she will continue the way she is or even improve so that my ears will get to enjoy themselves even more in the days to come.

if there is 1 fast song and 1 slow song which i would like to recommend to others, it would definitely be these 2, which made me loop my playlist over and over again:

fast song - 聖櫃のプロフェシア (seihitsu no prophesia)
slow song - ミカエルは眠る ～dans le coeur～ (michael wa nemuru ~ dans le coeur ~)

nothing much to say, go listen to it. give it at least 2 listens. you may not get it on the first. 聖櫃のプロフェシア pretty much drags you in to its tempo easily while ミカエルは眠る ～dans le coeur～ sounds like a sad song, which is my type.
