so yesterday i was trying to download get metal slug 7 for my nds. yes it is old, and i am always lagging behind.

so i went to lots of websites places to search for it, and met with a series of such problems.

torrent links broken. http download failed because of server connection problems. viruses in file. trojans in file. pay to download. trolls. saved data could not be loaded, please restart nds and reinsert game card.

the last problem actually occured quite early into the process of getting the game. i could not understand why. so i searched everywhere, going to google and baidu both english and chinese resources, and on the way side-tracked to find the chinese translation for remember11, and after that realized i have not yet even played never7 and since the english translation for remember11 is at 81% completion i might as well wait.

and so i thought there was a problem with the game and continued to spend the day getting my metal slug 7. today i woke up and decided to try again, got the same problem for the 2nd time. and then i thought, it must be that nds problem. i googled it and found that my r4 firmware had been outdated and proceeded to upgrade it after an amazing miracle that must be because of the good deeds i had done in my past life the nds suddenly worked.

so here i am, having my nds and metal slug 7.

because i have nothing to do, and because planetarian is really such an amazing story that really is to my liking, i had decided today to re-read the kinetic novel. and i did not regret it. it is such a nice story, that even if i had already known the ending, the impact of the novel was still there.

in short, if the last time you read it was like 2, 3, 4 or even 5 years ago, dig it out and read it again. really, this novel is simply fantastic. hoshino yumemi - she is one unique character that will make people like her very much.

for those who didn't read, go read it. search for my post titled 'planetarian' and read it. for those who had read it, read it again. it only takes 4 hours of your time max.

because i have nothing to do, and i don't want to write depressing things, so i have decided to make a post about the visual novels i have played. even though they are not a lot.

well this is the opening quote of the game, chaos;head, by nitroplus and 5pb. i had always wanted to play this game. well in fact i had always wanted to play nitroplus games. its genre of games is slightly different from the genre i usually play. up till now, i have always played games by typemoon and key. leaf would be similar to key, but so far i have not yet played any of its games, despite the company having produced so many famous titles.

anyway, every company would be well known in their own respective types of games which they produced. for example key and leaf would be more well-known in the area of romance and such, typemoon in the area of probably tragic fantasy, nitroplus in the area of gore and such.

chaos;head would be a typical nitroplus game, i guess. hahax i just installed the game today, and read only a part of the story, so i cannot say anything much too. i had this game in my computer for months but only decided to install it today. because i had nothing to do i looked through my game directory for games that i downloaded yet not played.

i found kanon, chaos;head, saya no uta, kagetsu tohya, never 7 ~ the end of infinity ~, shuffle!, and 12riven (which i had already taken months to download get hold of it but it seems to never show much progress). of course there is another, a yuri game, which i played halfway, but cannot play as and when i like because my little sister shares my room and it would be awkward if she starts and ask me what on earth are the 2 girls getting naked and licking each other. haax. my mother will probably kill me for leading my little sis astray.

i had wanted to play saya no uta first, but decided i would play chaos;head first since it seemed more interesting. and from the opening video, it certainly looks cool. i like the character design, and the song certainly fits the video, in my opinion.

for now, i have to settle my homework fast, and continue to write stories. haax i haven't even started writing the short stories which i planned for this month. there are many many things to do, and i hope that i will be able to manage them well.

so, after i finished the game, i will probably make another post about it here.

oh ya, the background picture of the game made me jealous. it is full of figurines. super kawaii figurines from all sorts of anime. saber, arcueid, rin, and was there a miku-chan figurine? die. nendoroids too. i want all of them! ahh... i have no money! and that rider figurine! i tried to find one like that (of course it was sometime ago) but was unable to get hold of it. all the net offered me was bikini rider. i don't want that.

so i finally got myself to sit down, and play the famous touhou (東方) games, from of course, the touhou project. lol. that is because i had wanted to play another game but due to various reasons, was unable to play it.

anyway, i guess most of us would have at least heard of this touhou craze which started from japan, spreaded to the world, and spawned a whole lot of fanart and fans. for those who did not know, the touhou games are a series of shooting games (go google it for more information).

so i started playing the 6th game, 東方紅魔郷 (the embodiment of scarlet devil), and got bored of it fast. i switched to the 10th game, 東方風神録 (mountain of faith), and played 3 straight hours on it. and, i got stuck at the last stage for 1 and a half hours, unable to defeat the last boss. then i had to switch off the game because i had to go out. well, i have to restart the next time i play it, because i can't find any save game functions. lols.

and when i was playing, guess what. the postman came and delivered the long-awaited mizuki nana single - phantom minds. hahax. the parcel is still on top of my file. i was too engrossed in the game and did not open it the first chance i get.

i got all 12 games, well the last one, the 13th game, is not in my list. i wonder when i will complete all of them. hahahax. for those who missed out on the touhou craze, go get the game and play it. it is late, but you still can play it.
