because i have nothing to do, and because planetarian is really such an amazing story that really is to my liking, i had decided today to re-read the kinetic novel. and i did not regret it. it is such a nice story, that even if i had already known the ending, the impact of the novel was still there.

in short, if the last time you read it was like 2, 3, 4 or even 5 years ago, dig it out and read it again. really, this novel is simply fantastic. hoshino yumemi - she is one unique character that will make people like her very much.

for those who didn't read, go read it. search for my post titled 'planetarian' and read it. for those who had read it, read it again. it only takes 4 hours of your time max.

i am supposed to be studying. but i am not. i supposed i will be a little too dead in a while when i get back my examination and test papers. but then, it will be a little more before i am dead.

since i have nothing to do, i am recommending a story to all readers. i don't know if you like to read. but i am going to introduce you to a slightly old story (released in 2004) which would roughly take you about 3 to 4 hours to read.

as the title goes, the story is called 'planetarian'. this story is a product of 'key', a company famous for its visual novels. visual novels are like storybooks with options. remember when you were a kid you played that kind of sonic game book where it says, 'if you follow doctor robonik, go to page 123. if not go to page 234.' remember?

a visual novel is something like that, just that it is in the form of computer software. you read the thing like a storybook, and when a choice has to be made, you will be given a few options, and depending on which you click, will bring you to a different part of the story. and you go on.

planetarian is a kinetic novel. which means you don't get to make any choices. you read and read from start till end. of course, like all visual novels, it comes with graphics. unlike most other visual/kinetic novels like ever17 and air, it does not come with voice acting.

planetarian talks about the story of 2 people. you may think a 2 people story isn't very good. but if you think that, then you are wrong. the story, graphics and music are all very well done. maybe i am a newbie, but if i were to give a rating i would definitely give an A+ for all these 3 aspects.

i would love to talk about it more, but i wouldn't want to spoil it for you. well, 2 years ago i played the game, and up till now its memory is still quite fresh in my mind. because among all the visual/kinetic novels i played, this has one of the best story.

for someone who don't know if s/he should get started on this genre of games, planetarian is a good example of this genre. and of course, its story is touching. as all those who played the game would know, this is a sad story. to some, it is very sad.

really, if you have nothing to do or are wondering what game to play, give that a try. the translation patch is out though. get the game. i cannot tell you where to download the game, since you are supposed to buy. i can only recommend you a wonderful search engine called google.
