when i was a kid, my father told me that one could tell the character of a person from the stories (fictional) he wrote. he said, if a story had a character which was weak at first and grew to be strong, it meant that the author was weak in real life (one way or another) and had dreamt to be strong. we were watching those kind of sword-fighting shows then.
